I stayed in the Queen Room with Two Queen Beds and found the location of the lodge convenient. The staff greeted me warmly and helped with my luggage, which made check-in smooth. The cleanliness of the room was a strong point, presenting a welcoming décor that felt homey. However, the air conditioning struggled to keep the room comfortably cool. I noticed that the amenities advertised, like ironing facilities, weren't available. The kitchenette could use better lighting, making it hard to see what I was doing while preparing meals. The pool area looked unkempt, and that was disappointing, especially since the kids were excited to swim. Overall, the lack of air conditioning and the state of the pool made my stay less enjoyable than it could have been, but the friendly staff and clean room were positives that stood out.

We had a decent stay with family at this hotel. Our two sons loved the variety of water sports available nearby, especially the snorkeling and jet-skiing. We also enjoyed a fun day at the beach, which was just a short drive away.

My wife says that next time, it would be great to have more amenities for families, like kids' activities or a family-friendly dining option.

It was just a perfect match for a getaway in South Padre Island with all in all brilliant value for money. The manager Grace was very pleasant during our stay, which made a tough situation a bit easier. Make sure to double-check room cleanliness before settling in.
